Premier Jeremy Rockliff has pledged $1 million towards a training facility for Tasmanian students at Macquarie Point, adjacent to the stadium construction site.
The announcement comes as apprentices numbers in Tasmania continue to drop.

But the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union’s Richard Hassett explains why he’s not supportive of the Learning Hub, while agreeing the industry needs more apprentices.
