Our Place – Hobart has described the Premier’s response to the Parliament’s motion requiring the government to update the parliament on the cost of the proposed stadium as contemptuous.
Spokesperson Roland Browne said the government, and the Premier, are in contempt of the parliament in failing to comply.
This is serious. Parliament is the supreme authority in this State – not the Premier.
This is not Trump’s America.
The Premier’s project had been plagued with secrecy, cost overruns and falsities about the cost from the very beginning.
We know he has much to hide – about $1.6 billion in cost. Many times more than this state can bear.
The Premier needs to remember – this is our money (and debt) he’s hoping to spend. It is not his money.
