Recent polling on behalf of the Australia Institute suggests the majority of Tasmanians want the current deal with the AFL torn up and renegotiated.
The Australia Institute strategy director, Leanne Minshull, tells David Reilly on Tasmania Mornings, 69 per cent of the 842 Tasmanians polled think the state has been treated unfairly by the AFL.
“The people of Tasmania would like to see a far more nuanced and probably stronger negotiating posture from the state government,” she says.
