Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff is pushing ahead with plans for a controversial new sports stadium in Hobart, despite a damning assessment from the state’s planning commission.
The Commission’s report states the stadium is too big for the site, its benefits are significantly outweighed by the disadvantages, and the project’s cost has ballooned to $1.3 billion.
