Labor’s hopes of forming a majority government would be dashed if Tasmanians vote in line with a new opinion poll, which shows support for the party has slipped further.
But, if it’s to be believed, the poll doesn’t exactly spell “strong majority government” for the Liberal Party either — with its support 10 points lower than at the May 2021 election, when it secured a slim majority.

Even the prospect of a Tasmanian football team hasn’t given the Liberals — who secured the controversial deal — a boost.
In fact, they’re apparently trying to step back from the politicisation of the whole issue — although Mr Rockliff is always happy to slam Labor over its ‘let’s try and renegotiate with the AFL to get out of the stadium while keeping the team’ position.
