TAS government commissions a report on its proposed Hobart stadium by a leading independent economist. Report released yesterday. In what is high cowardice, no government rep has agreed to speak publicly. Given, the report predicted a planning and economic disaster, this is maladministration.

After the Gruen report, it’s time for the editors of the Mercury and Examiner, and journalists like ABC’s @chrisroww.bsky.social, to end their unquestioning support for the MacPoint stadium and to ask Lib and Lab why they would risk the island’s economic future for the sake of this vanity project.
