Tasmanian hospitality and gaming giant, Federal Group, says Macquarie Point is not the right location for the proposed AFL stadium.
Federal Group’s executive general manager, Daniel Hanna, tells Leon Compton on Tasmania Mornings the stadium will “loom over” two waterfront hotels owned by Federal Group.
“That is one of the most iconic view scapes in Hobart and indeed Tasmania. That will be changed forever with a stadium, which is going to be of significant scale,” he says.
