In short:
Tasmania’s Department of State Growth will be replaced by Building Tasmania, a “transformation” the premier says will “get things built”.
The proposal will slash 250 public sector jobs and save the budget “more than a quarter of a billion dollars”, the government says.

A working group is being established to oversee the move, for which no timeline has been announced.
