Tasmania’s Opposition Leader Josh Willie has addressed concerns the state government can’t afford to build the AFL stadium at Macquarie Point in Hobart while cutting 1,700 jobs from the state service.
Mr Willie tells Leon Compton on Tasmania Mornings
“You could cancel the stadium and the budget problems would remain”.
“We’re talking about 13 years of Liberal waste. These problems haven’t happened overnight,” he says.
Mr Willie also answered questions about whether he would consider governing with the Tasmanian Greens or independents.
