A Stop the $tadium Rally will be held at Parliament Gardens
at midday on Saturday 13 May.

Roland Browne, spokesperson for the organising group, Our Place, said the speakers represented Tasmanians across the political spectrum uniting against the proposed stadium.

He called on all Tasmanians who oppose the under costed, ill-planned and unwanted stadium, and who believe the hundreds of millions of taxpayer money could be beter spent elsewhere, to atend.

“We intend to send a powerful message to the Tasmanian Liberal government and the Federal Labor government to stop the stadium,’ Mr Browne said.

Confirmed speakers as of Friday, in alphabetical order, are Senator Jacqui Lambie, Tasmanian Greens leader Cassie O’Connor, Hobart Councillor Anna Reynolds, Independent MLC Meg Webb, and Independent MHR Andrew Wilkie. Richard Flanagan will be MC.
