A new challenge awaits the AFL and its 19th club, with newly appointed Cricket Australia chief executive Todd Greenberg expressing concerns about the proposed Macquarie Point Stadium design and its fixed roof.
The Age reports that Greenberg and Cricket Tasmania chief executive Dominic Baker co-signed a letter to the Tasmanian government declaring that the current roof design would lead to “unacceptable” playing conditions, venue operations and broadcast quality for any form of cricket being played in daylight.
