The following documents were tabled yesterday by Mr Harriss:
- his letter to the government seeking certain assurances prior to voting on the proposed stadium and asking that those commitments be given (by signing) by all members of the Parliament Liberal Party
- a letter of response from government (signed only by the Premier and the Treasurer), including their reports of things they “have heard” about the economic benefits of the proposed stadium
- the “undertakings” given by the Premier and the Treasurer in response to each of Mr Harriss’ demands.
We are somewhat puzzled about how, on reading this response, Mr Harriss was able to determine that our state’s economic welfare was now in safe and trusted hands, and that a stadium at Mac Point was a grand idea.
